The San Francisco Dungeon

Is parking available at the San Francisco Dungeon?
Yes. There is plenty of parking available around Fisherman’s Wharf, particularly on Beach Street.

How long is the entire experience?
From start to finish, guests enjoy a 60-minute immersive experience in the dungeon.

Is this attraction recommended for kids?
The San Francisco Dungeon is recommended for children above the age of 10. Please be advised that certain aspects of the experience are dark, scary, and can be frightening to children. If you and your family need to leave the attraction at any point, please speak to one of the actors.

To participate children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a person 18 or older at all times. Guests 14 or older may enter unaccompanied.

Is the attraction wheelchair accessible?

Some areas of the attraction are not wheelchair accessible, such as Shanghai Kelly. It is recommended that individuals requiring a wheelchair, mobility assistance, or are pregnant do not participate in the attraction.

Are there any restrictions for Escape Alcatraz Drop Ride? 
Guest cannot ride if:
  • Under 5 years of age.
  • Under 45'' in height.
  • Over 79" in height.
  • Cannot be secured by lap-bar.
  • Unable to hold on or sit up straight unassisted.

Children between the ages of 5-10 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
To ride without an adult you must be 55" tall and at least 10 years of age.

What are the hours of operation?
The San Francisco Dungeon is typically open:
  • Monday – Thursday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Friday – Sunday: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
