Are there restrictions on activities? 
TopJump welcomes people of all ages and physical abilities. Jumpers will be separated by age/size, and all jumpers must be able to follow our rules. Jumpers under 42" must be watched by a parent or guardian, and jumpers may not exceed 285 lbs. In addition, Clip ’n Climb welcomes people of all physical abilities above the age of 4 and 30 pounds. Climbers may not exceed 330 lbs. Everyone must be able to follow TopJump's rules.

Do I need special socks or footwear for the activities? 
Jumpers: To maintain a clean and safe environment, all jumpers must wear rubber bottomed socks. Jump socks are available on-site for an additional fee, or you may bring your own.

Climbers: All climbers must wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes. Closed-toe shoes are available on-site for rent.

Is there a place to keep my stuff? 
Complimentary cubbies are provided. Lockers are also available for rent if you would like to secure your items.

Can I jump and climb with my family members and friends?
Jumpers: Jumpers are separated by age and size to avoid injuries. TopJump reserves the right to move jumpers to different areas of the park for their safety.

Climbers: All climbers will be in the same area together throughout their climb time.

Do I need to sign a waiver? 
Yes! Every jumper must have a waiver on file. If you are under 18, you must have your parent, legal guardian, or power of attorney fill out the waiver for you. The single waiver works for jumping or climbing.

What safety measures are in place for those jumping and climbing at the park?
To ensure safety of jumpers and climbers, TopJump's attentive staff members watch every activity to ensure the safety of participants.

Jumpers must:
  • Empty all items from your pockets.
  • Attend Safety Briefing before jumping.
  • Adhere to Patron Responsibility listed below Secure glasses.
  • Wear TopSocks or other rubber bottomed socks.
  • Stay in control Jump within their abilities; master basic skills before moving onto more advanced tricks or flips. 
  • Perform at their own risk: Flips and other tricks can be dangerous. Be aware of others around them. 
  • Stay at least an arm's length away from all other jumpers.
  • Jump with people of similar age and size. 
  • Follow all safety instructions as directed by TopJump staff. 
  • Be watched by a parent if under 42". 
Climbers must:
  • Empty all items from pockets.
  • Attend Safety Briefing before climbing. 
  • Adhere to Patron Responsibility listed below. 
  • Have harness checked by staff before climbing. 
  • Be clipped to the safety line before climbing. 
  • Wear a helmet as instructed by staff.
  • Follow all safety instructions as directed by TopJump staff. 
  • Be above the age of 4 and 30 pounds.
  • Secure glasses.
  • Tie back long hair.

Is the hotel pet-friendly?
Yes. Your furry friends can join you at the Gotham Hotel. A one-time, non-refundable cleaning fee of $150 applies.

Ozark Valley Inn

Is this hotel pet-friendly?
Yes. Guests are allowed to bring up to 2 pets per room, with a weight limit of 55 pounds and under. All pets must be housebroken. Pets must be put in a kennel if left alone in the hotel room. A $10.00 per pet, per night fee applies.

Are cribs and rollaway beds available?
Cribs are available complimentary, and rollaway beds are available on a first come, first served basis for $5.00 per night.

What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and includes fresh made Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy yogurt, boiled eggs, canned fruit, 4 types of cold cereal, oatmeal, 2 types of bagels, coffee, milk, and juice.

Carowinds Winterfest

Is Carowinds Winterfest included with Carowinds admission?
No. This is event requires a specific, separate ticket. General admission tickets do not include Winterfest.

What is the inclement weather policy? 
Rides may close under certain weather conditions, particularly rain, high winds and/or lightning. It is not possible to provide a specific answer regarding which rides close or remain open because varying degrees of inclement weather cause different effects on different rides. The rides affected the most by inclement weather are the roller coasters and the high rides. Carowinds makes every effort to reopen the rides as quickly and safely as possible after the adverse weather conditions cease. Unfortunately, we do not offer rain checks or refunds.

Am I permitted to bring my own food and beverages into the park? 
For everyone's safety, guests are not permitted to bring coolers, outside food, or other drinks into Carowinds. Grilling in parking lots is also prohibited. More than 30 restaurants and snack stands provide a broad dining experience within the park. Individuals who have special diets or need items due to a medical condition are asked to visit Guest Services located at the Front Gate for accommodation.

Are wheelchairs and strollers available for rent? 
Strollers and wheelchair rentals are located inside of the South Gate Entrance and next to Guest Services at the North Gate Entrance. Please note, a valid form of identification must be presented to rent a manual or electric wheelchair for a fee.

Do you allow pets at Carowinds? 
No pets are allowed in the park except for service animals. Guests traveling with pets may take advantage of the Pet Kennel at Carowinds.

Is smoking permitted in the park? 
Smoking, including the use of vapor/e-cigarettes, is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Most smoking locations are near restrooms and will be marked by red signs and smoking urns. All other areas of the park are smoke-free.

Are there places in the park to store my belongings? 
Lockers are available to rent inside the park. Rentals vary in size and start at $17. Prices differ among locker locations.

How much is parking? 
Parking is $20 per vehicle for regular parking and $25 for preferred. A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available near the Front Gate on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is Carowinds' dress code?
Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times. Swimwear must be sufficiently covered. Profanity, obscene gestures and statements, pictures of illegal substances, insignia of paramilitary groups, all gang-related items on clothing, costumes or disguises that conceal identity are prohibited and admission to the park may be refused.

Where is the museum located?
The Newseum is located at 555 Pennsylvania Ave.., N.W., Washington, DC, 20001.

What are the hours of operation?
The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed New Year’s Day, Inauguration Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Hours are subject to change.

Is this museum appropriate for all ages?
Yes. In addition, children under the age of 6 can enter the museum for free.

How long does it take to tour the museum?
Touring the Newseum takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your group and your particular interests.

Is there an orientation film?
Yes. We recommend that all groups begin their tour with a four-minute orientation film that explains the Newseum’s numerous exhibits, galleries, and programs.

Where is the closest Metro rail stop?
The Archives/Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station on the Green and Yellow Lines is approximately two blocks away. The Gallery Place and Judiciary Square stations on the Red Line are approximately four and two blocks away, respectively.

Are wheelchairs available?
Yes. A limited number of wheelchairs, scooters and walking aids are available on a first come, first-served basis.

Can I take pictures while at the museum?
Flash photography is allowed in most areas of the Newseum, except where it is expressly prohibited. Please consult with staff and signage for details.

Does the museum have a place to eat or purchase food?
Yes. The Food Section, located on the Concourse Level, offers a full selection of hot and cold entrée options. The restaurant seats approximately 150. Since food and drinks are not allowed inside the exhibit areas, no outside food or bag lunches are allowed.

Does the museum have a gift shop?
Yes.

What parking options are available at the museum?
The Newseum offers safe and affordable parking inside our building at 555 Pennsylvania Ave. The garage is open 7:00 am – 11:00 pm, Mon. – Sat. and 9:00 am – 11:00 pm on Sun. Rates are $10 for the first hour and $20 for over one hour, up to a full day. All day on weekends there will be a flat rate of $15. Entrance to the Newseum parking garage is on C Street.
