Is this event appropriate for children?
SCarowinds is not recommended for children under the age of 13. Parents should supervise their child throughout their time at SCarowinds.

Does my ticket include admission to Carowinds during the day?
No. SCarowinds is a special ticketed event. Carowinds will close prior to SCarowinds opening. Guests must have a SCarowinds ticket to enter.

Can I bring cameras, GoPros or cell phones on the rides?
No. Cameras, GoPros, cell phones or other any recording devices (photography or video) are prohibited on all rides to ensure the safety of our guests. Violation of this policy is subject to park dismissal.

Is smoking allowed at SCarowinds?
Smoking, including the use of vapor/e-cigarettes, is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Most smoking locations are near restrooms and will be marked by red signs and smoking urns. All other areas of the park are smoke-free.

What security measures are in place at SCarowinds?
For the safety of guests, SCarowinds has implemented several enhanced security procedures at the front gate. As part of the process:

• Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day. 
• All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. will be examined prior to entering.
• Sharp objects (including pocket knives and metal chains), firearms, or other items that could be considered a weapon are strictly prohibited and should be left at home or secured in your vehicle.  

Uniformed and plainclothes officers and video surveillance monitoring are also in use throughout the event.

Are wheelchairs available for rent?
Yes. Wheelchair rentals are located inside of the South Gate Entrance and next to Guest Services at the North Gate Entrance. Please note, a valid form of identification must be presented to rent a manual or electric wheelchair. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis.

• Manual Wheelchair: $16.00 - $10 deposit
• Electric Wheelchair: $50.00 - $10 deposit

Can I use a selfie stick at SCarowinds?
Selfie sticks are permitted in the park but their use is strictly prohibited on any ride due to potential safety risks. Violation of this policy may lead to dismissal from the park.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Are locker rentals available?
Yes. Lockers are available for rent and start at $17.
