Operation Slumber at the Intrepid Museum ID 6061

Is the price for children and adults the same?
Yes.

Does the Intrepid Museum provide blankets and/or sleeping bags?
No. The Intrepid Museum provides cots for guests. Guests are responsible for bringing their own pillows, blankets, and sleeping bags.

What activities are available?
Attendees can experience everything from rides on the flight simulator to hands-on arts and crafts.

Is food included?
Snacks are available. A light breakfast is served the next morning.

What materials do I need to fill out for the experience?
Guests will need to fill out a waiver and submit 2 weeks prior to event date. Waiver, along with pre-arrival information, will be emailed to you, after purchase. Please note all sales final. If the event operation slumber is canceled due to weather, tickets would be fully refunded.

What ages are allowed to attend?
Children above the age of 6 and under 17 are invited to attend. The event is ideal for kids ages 8 to 12.

Are parents required to attend?
Yes. We require at least one (1) adult for every five (5) youth ages 8 and up. Adults must be 21 years of age or older. For youth under 8 years of age, we require a ratio of one (1) adult for every (1) youth.

What time does the event end?
Operation Slumber ends at 8:00 am the next morning.

What does Operation Slumber provide to guests?
Operation Slumber provides:

  • Cots
  • Snacks                                              
  • Breakfast
  • Goodie Bag
  • Voucher for Museum admission (good for 60 days)


Not provided:

  • Sleeping Bag and/or blankets                  
  • Pillow
  • Flashlight
  • Pajamas
  • Toothbrush


Is parking included?
The Intrepid does not offer parking, but there are several lots in the vicinity:
Park Right on 670 West 43rd Street between 11th and 12th Ave. (212-695-1241)
Park It on 622 - 630 W. 51st Street between 11th and 12th Ave. (212-245-5910).

Parking is not validated.
