The Field Museum

What parking options are available?
Parking is offered at several lots around the museum. Guests may park at Soldier Field North Garage and East Museum Lot. All cars are subject to daily/hourly parking rates. Rates vary and are subject to change. Additional lots are available adjacent to the Adler Planetarium and at the Waldron Garage on the south side of Soldier Field.

Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Visitors using wheelchairs or strollers may be dropped off at the East Entrance. Accessible parking is available in the adjacent east lot on a first-come, first-serve basis. Wheelchairs are available, also on a first-come, first-served basis, at the East Entrance or at the Check rooms.

Does the museum have children’s strollers?
Yes. Strollers may be rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Ask at the Check rooms when you arrive at the Museum.

Does the museum have lockers or storage for guests?
The museum does not offer lockers but does have a coat check with available space to store your backpacks and luggage.

Can I take pictures while inside the museum?
Yes. However, there are a few places where photography is prohibited. These places are well-marked with signage.

Can I bring my own lunch?
Yes, visitors are welcome to bring their own brown bag lunches to The Field Museum. However, you must eat in designated areas in the Siragusa Center. Ask a guest relations specialist if you are unclear as to where to eat.

Does the museum offer dining options?
Yes. Guests may dine at the Field Bistro and the Explorer Cafe.

Can I leave the museum and come back later?
Yes. Keep your tickets handy for reentry. This policy does not apply to parking.

What are the museum’s hours of operation?
The Field Museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily except Christmas. Museum hours are subject to change.

Does the museum have a gift shop?
The Field Museum has four shops for you to enjoy and purchase gifts from.
