What can I bring into the aquarium?
There is no outside food, beverage or gum permitted inside the Aquarium. Also, guns, knives, lighters, and matches are not permitted inside. Pets are not allowed. Only guide dogs for the blind, service dogs for people with disabilities and working dogs in training are permitted inside the Aquarium.

Is parking available?
Yes. The official Georgia Aquarium parking deck located at 357 Luckie Street, NW Atlanta, GA 30313 has entrances located on Luckie Street and Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.

What are the hours of operation?
The Georgia Aquarium is open 365 days a year. Hours vary.
  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Seasonal events may cause the aquarium’s hours of operation to change. The last ticket sold and entry is 30 minutes prior to closing.

Does the Georgia Aquarium have security?
Yes. Everyone visiting the Aquarium MUST go through security located outside the Aquarium. Security is your very first stop upon arrival at Georgia Aquarium. Keep in mind that NO guns, knives or lighters are allowed inside Georgia Aquarium. Outside food, beverage, and gum are also not allowed in the Aquarium. Security will confiscate these items.

How can I find out about the shows or programs happening at the Georgia Aquarium?
Prior to your visit, download the aquarium’s smartphone app. Or, ask a staff member upon arrival to the aquarium.

How long should I expect to spend in the aquarium?
Visitors spend on average 3-4 hours exploring the aquarium.

Do I need to arrive early for the aquarium shows?
We recommend getting in line for your show of choice at least 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Can I bring my own food and beverages into the aquarium?
No. This is strictly prohibited.

Does the aquarium have dining options?
Yes. Guests may purchase food and drinks from Cafe Aquaria and Seaside Delights.

Can I bring a stroller?
Yes. Complimentary stroller parking is available in the atrium and a stroller check is provided at each theater. However, if possible, a smaller stroller or no stroller is recommended in order to navigate crowded areas more easily. Strollers are not available for rent.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes. However, please be respectful of other guests and the animals and do not use flash photography.
