How much walking do we do?
They will stop a couple of times throughout the adventure; the longest walk is a short hike of about one mile. Guests should be able to hike on uneven and rocky terrain.
Is there elevation gain?
Except for the lava tube exploration, the trails are relatively level. While exploring the lava tube, expect to descend approximately 30 feet.
Will we get to see active lava?
Due to the dynamic nature of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Kilauea Volcano, active lava viewing conditions can change daily or even hourly.
What should I bring?
You should bring a camera, comfortable walking shoes, long pants and a light jacket.
How long is this tour?
It is about 7 hours round trip.
How many people does this tour take?
Tour is limited to a maximum of 12 guests.
What happens if it rains?
This tour operates rain or shine. Guides will bring raingear for everyone. They only cancel when weather makes transportation or walking hazardous.
