Yes. Guests are picked up from area hotels between 9:00 am and 10:00 am to begin the tour.
How long is the tour?
The tour returns to guest hotels between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm for an approximately 11-12 hour tour experience.
How much hiking is involved in the tour?
The hiking tour involves 2 miles each way, with a total of 4 miles hiked.
What should I wear for the tour?
Guests should wear the following clothing items for an exceptional hiking experience:
- Sturdy walking or hiking shoes are required. Slippers, sandals, or flip-flops are not permitted for participation.
- A light jacket
- Hat
- Long pants
- Sunglasses
Will I see molten lava during my tour?
We cannot guarantee lava sightings due to the rapidly changing nature of the volcanic activity.
What health restrictions are in place?
Participants must be able to walk and stand on uneven surfaces for long periods of time.
What happens in the case of rain?
Tours operate rain or shine. Please wear appropriate attire in the case of rain.
