Door greeters will make a presentation of gifts, or makana, to all overnight Guests upon arrival at the Resort. Women are given a floral lei, men a kukui nut lei, and children, Menehune necklaces.
Is there a cost associated with the lei greeting?
No. The presentation of makana is complimentary to all DVC members and Guests staying at Aulani.
Are service animals and pets permitted at Aulani?
While pets are not permitted, trained service animals are welcome in most locations at Aulani. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times and keep them on a leash or harness while visiting. Cast Members are not permitted to take control of service animals.
What is the smoking policy at Aulani?
This Resort is a smoke-free environment, excluding designated outdoor smoking locations. A $250 to $500 room recovery fee (plus tax) will be charged for smoking in Guest rooms, on balconies or on patios. Please check with the Front Desk for information about designated outdoor smoking locations.
Does Aulani have cribs?
All of Aulani's rooms come with a complimentary crib such as a Pack 'N Play® Playard.
Are there accommodations for Guests with special needs?
Yes. Aulani offers accessible rooms for Guests with disabilities, including wheelchair and hearing accessible rooms. TTY equipment is available upon request at check-in. Please note your request for an accessible room when making your reservation.
Where can I dine with Disney Characters?
Aulani offers “Aunty's Breakfast Celebration at the Makahiki,” a Disney Character Breakfast.
What is the dress code at Aulani restaurants?
Most restaurants at Aulani feature a Resort Casual dress code policy. The following guidelines apply:
- A shirt is required
- Shoes or sandals are required
- If wearing a swimsuit, a cover-up is also required
Shirts with inappropriate words or pictures are not permitted at any time at any resort dining establishment.
For dinner at ‘AMA‘AMA, please follow an Upscale Casual dress code. The following guidelines apply:
- Men: Please, no baseball caps, board shorts, swimsuits, ripped or torn jeans, tank tops, and sleeveless shirts
- Women: Please, no baseball caps, swimsuits, and ripped or torn jeans
Is transportation available between the resort and other destinations on O‘ahu?
There are a variety of transportation options if you'd like to travel to and from Aulani. Choose from:
